2. Plot
The tale follows Jin Mu-Won, the heir to the Northern Heavenly Sect, on his quest for vengeance and justice in the name of his father. The Northern Heavenly Sect, led by Jin Kwan-Ho (the leader of the martial arts world), was established to combat a sinister organization known as Silent Night, a haven for the most ruthless criminals who engage in various crimes, from robbery to murder.
However, after the fourth-generation leader of the Northern Heavenly Sect (Jin Mu-Won’s father) North Wall, successfully defeated Silent Night, Jin Kwan-Ho betrayed him by falsely accusing North Wall of colluding with Silent Night.
To ensure the safety of his son, North Wall agrees to take his own life under the condition that his son Jin Mu-Won is spared.
Nevertheless, it was also from then on that Jin Mu-Won lost everything and harbored a scheme to seek revenge on those who caused chaos in the martial arts world and conspired against his father, leading him to commit suicide.
He endured ten years of humiliation to master the martial arts of Northern Heavenly Sect and escape from the captivity of Jin Kwan-Ho to execute his revenge plan.
As he delves deeper, Jin Mu-Won realizes that the death of his father and the decline of Northern Heavenly Sect are part of a grand scheme orchestrated by the leader of Jin Kwan-Ho to manipulate the entire martial arts world.
He is powerful, dangerous, and extremely cunning. With his strength, he could wipe out the entire martial arts world, but he doesn’t do that. Instead, he creates chaos and then saves it, all to become the ruler of the world.
What will Jin Mu-Won do to avenge his father, save the martial arts world, and rescue innocent people from the tyranny of the most powerful man in the world? What forces will help him on this difficult journey, and what will be the outcome of this battle?
Will evil triumph and continue to treat all living beings as toys, or will justice prevail and bring peace to the world?
3. Review
The characters in ” The Legend of the Northern Blade” are all carefully crafted by the author. Each character has their own unique personality, actions, and strengths. Therefore, to put it bluntly, this work has no mass characters; each character leaves a unique impression on the reader.
For example, the character Silent Night Lord has brought about feelings of resentment when he was betrayed and hunted by his own brothers, but still has the mentality of a strongman who refuses to submit.
Character: Silent Night Lord
The main character, Jin Mu-Won, is perhaps the most tragic character in the series. His father was killed, he bears the infamy of being the son of a traitor, and he is made an enemy of the greatest forces in the martial arts world.
Nonetheless, on the path of revenge, he always meets good friends. Therefore, he always keeps himself on the side of justice when he goes through life-and-death battles and when his emotions are gradually taken over by darkness.
The series vividly depicts emotions such as guilt, inferiority, pain, and loss, which create a lasting impression on the reader’s mind. In my opinion, this is a very worthwhile series to read, and I recommend it to everyone.
